Title Percentage of working age males who are employed
Description Percentage of working age males who are employed (Future Generations Indicator 21). Males who did some paid work in the reference week (whether as an employee or self employed); those who had a job that they were temporarily away from (e.g. on holiday); those on government-supported training and employment programmes; and those doing unpaid family work. These estimates are taken from the annual population survey. Working age is defined as people aged 16 to 64. The Annual Population Survey (including estimates of employment, unemployment and economic inactivity) estimates were revised in March 2015 back to 2004. This is to take on board population estimates based on the 2011 Census.
