Rate of violence against the person per 1,000 people. Police recorded crime data are supplied to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) by the Home Office. Violence against the person includes police-recorded crimes of homicide, violence with injury, violence without injury, stalking and harassment and death or serious injury - unlawful driving. The rate was calculated using the previous year's population mid-year estimate. |
