Description
|
Gigawatt hours of domestic gas consumed.
Domestic consumers are defined as those using less than 73,200 kWh of gas each year. Gas transporters supply Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) with the Annualised Quantity (AQ) for each Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) or gas meter as well as address point data. An AQ is an estimate of annualised consumption using consumption recorded between two meter readings at least six months apart. The estimate is then weather corrected to account for regional temperature and wind speed and incorporates trends. The MPRN data is then matched to a local authority. For domestic gas consumption the data covers the months as follows: 2021: mid-May 2021 to mid-May 2022 2020: mid-May 2020 to mid-May 2021 2019: mid-May 2019 to mid-May 2020 2018: mid-May 2018 to mid-May 2019 2017: mid-June 2017 to mid-June 2018 2016: mid-July 2016 – mid-July 2017 Prior to 2016: October – September. |
