Rate of possession of weapons offences per 1,000 people. Police recorded crime data are supplied to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) by the Home Office. These offences relate to licensing and ownership of weapons, i.e. where there was no violence involved at the time of the offence. The rate was calculated using the previous year’s population mid-year estimate. |
