Percentage of working age who are economically inactive - do not want a job.
Working age is defined as people aged 16 to 64. People who are neither in employment nor unemployed and who do not want a job. Economically inactive people are neither in employment nor unemployed. This group includes, for example, all those who were looking after a home or retired. These estimates are taken from the annual population survey. The Annual Population Survey (including estimates of employment, unemployment and economic inactivity) estimates were revised in March 2015 back to 2004. This is to take on board population estimates based on the 2011 Census. |
