Description Percentage of working age people who are economically active.

Working age is defined as people aged 16 to 64. People, who are economically active, expressed as a percentage of the working age population. A person is economically active if they are either employed or unemployed. These estimates are taken from the annual population survey. The Annual Population Survey (including estimates of employment, unemployment and economic inactivity) estimates were revised in March 2015 back to 2004. This is to take on board population estimates based on the 2011 Census.
